The completely renovated Optimate 3 is the successor of the obsolete Optimate 3+. This renovated version has the exact same specifications as the Optimate 3+, only this trickle charger has a renewed and improved cover.

Though the optimate 4 is a bigger version of the optimate 3, the only big difference really is that the optimate 3 can't be used for motorcycles with the "can-bus system", most commonly seen in BMWs and Ducati's upward of year of manufacture 2006. Besides that, the optimate 3 has fewer loading capacity: 35aH. Still, this is more than sufficient for every battery for motorcycles, scooters, jet skis, caravan-movers and suchlike. As mentioned before, the Optimate 3 includes a fixed connector for your motorcycle. This can be important when you have accesories.
